Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference

  • WHAC Preseason
Cornerstone picked to win WHAC Men's Basketball

The 2015-16 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Basketball Preseason Poll shows Cornerstone as the coaches pick to win the conference with 10 first-place votes and 142 total points. The defending national champion ended last year with a 33-5 overall record and in a three-way tie with Davenport and Northwestern Ohio for first in the league. Davenport is picked second with 133 points and two first-place votes while Northwestern Ohio is third with 117 points.

The head coaches in the conference got together on a conference call earlier in the week to share information before submitting their ballots. Points are tabulated by awarding the first team on the list with 12 points, the second team with 11 points, and so on.

Lourdes hits the court first with a game against Lake Superior State on Oct. 24 before MadonnaCornerstone, and Aquinas play on Oct. 30. Highlights include the Crossroads/WHAC Challenge on Oct. 31 with Spring Arbor and Cornerstone, and Northwestern Ohio traveling to Purdue University on Nov. 8 for a live game on the BTN Plus network.
