Wichita, Kan. – Following the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Media Day, votes were tabulated for both the KCAC Media and Coaches Preseason Polls. Tabor College takes the top spot in each poll, with seven first place votes in the Media Poll and four in the Coaches Poll.

  

In the Media Poll, Tabor edges the University of Saint Mary by seven points. Saint Mary tallied 97 votes and one first place vote, while Bethany College earned 92 votes and two first place votes. Friends University is voted fourth by the media with 75 total points.

 

The Coaches Poll gives an one-point edge to Tabor over Saint Mary for first place. Both schools received four first place votes. Ten points then separate the Spires from the Friends Falcons who sit in third with two of the first place votes. Bethany is voted fourth by the coaches with 81 total points and the final first place vote. 

  

During the 2014-15 season, Tabor (19-13, 15-3) took home the KCAC Regular Season Tournament title, while Friends (17-16, 11-7) won the KCAC Tournament Championship. The Falcons earned a spot in the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Championship but fell to Embry-Riddle, 76-47, in the first round of the tournament. The Bluejays also made their way to the NAIA Tournament but fell in the first round, 86-79, to Morningside.

2015-16 KCAC PRESEASON MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM

WICHITA, Kan. – The 2015-16 KCAC Preseason Men's Basketball Team is highlighted by nine returning All-Conference Selections from the 2014-15 season. The team includes four first teamers, two second teamers, two third teamers, and one honorable mention selection. All 10 student-athletes were selected to the team by vote of the KCAC Head Men's Basketball Coaches.

  

Player of the Year Grant Greenberg enters his junior season at the University of Saint Mary. In 2014-15, Greenberg was first in the conference in both scoring (897 points, 28.94 ppg) and three-point field goal percentage (0.407), second in field goal percentage (0.562), and 11th in steals (36 steals, 1.16 spg). In addition to being named Player of the Year, Greenberg was a unanimous pick for All-KCAC First Team in 2014-15.

 

Cameron Clark returns for his senior season at Southwestern College. Last season Clark was third in the conference in scoring (616 points, 21.24 ppg), and second in both total rebounds (247 rebounds, 8.52 rpg) and double doubles (12). Clark was named a member of the All-KCAC First Team in 2014-15, 2013-14, and 2012-13. 

 

All returning All-KCAC First Team, Second Team, Third Team, and Honorable Mention 2014-15 performers were nominated for preseason honors. The team (listed below) is made up of seven seniors, and three juniors. Bethany leads the way with three student-athletes listed.
